A bedroom in a sunny Brooklyn, New York apartment featured on Homepolish gets a soft rustic vibe courtesy of flea market finds. Storied pieces like the painted wood headboard and old pastoral painting add charming appeal. Mismatched end tables are a homey touch that builds one of a kind character. An assortment of embellishments like the books and short sprigs of lavender create a lived-in look that does not feel cluttered.
However, most parents don't have the funds to lavishly decorate their child's bedroom, nor should you spend your hard-earned cash on furniture, bedding and decor that has inflated mark-ups and little long-lasting value. Truth is, you can create a fabulous room for your teen without going broke in the process - or even without spending much money at all.

Typically, the palette for modern rustic décor is a neutral one, heavily dependent on the warm tones of natural wood, along with lighter colors on the walls, bedding, window treatments, and accessories. This stylish bedroom by Metropole Architects puts a fresh twist on traditional, rustic decorating with a stunning dark blue wall. It is the perfect backdrop for the brown and blue colors used throughout the room. Another good looking trick worth stealing is the wood feature wall, which is actually wallpaper.

Piling on layers of various patterns and textures in a mix of different brown and cream colors is the trick that makes this homey bedroom by Locati Architects one of our favorite examples ever. The reclaimed wood wall anchors the space while print fabrics in contrasting patterns covering the walls, window, headboard, and pillows add both visual interest and depth.
I absolutely love this wallcovering! I cut each word out separately, but I would suggest not peeling the entire decal off of the the swirly design that is off of Me. It would have been much easier if that particular design wasn't cut out in the middle. The lines get stuck together! That's why I suggest not to peel the entire decal off until you get it started on the wall as you wanted. I followed the picture and love it! There is also a small quote too and I put that on a decorative mirror in my hall. Only marking it as a 4 star....as I the manufacturer should not remove that material that I previously mentioned.
I love this product! I purchased it, because we have a really tall wall on our staircase. That wall has been very empty and needing something to make it look more inviting. I ordered this product on July 14, and received it July 28. I was impressed immediately by the thickness of the decal it does not look like a sticker, but more like a carving that has been placed on the wall. Secondly the shine and smoothness of the pieces is amazing quality, and gives a nice look to the overall appearance. It should be noted that the decal is several hundred pieces, but it comes with a template to and numbered pieces to show you where to pace them. I did however go a little rogue and made my own design after I made the initial tree. The decal is made to create more of a square look ... full review

You want everything in your bedroom to exude comfort, and the color palette is no exception. Whether you're a fan of warm or cool shades, pick colors that you naturally gravitate toward and give you a sense of calm. This home in Mexico opted for organic colors like ocean blue and deep brown. The statement wall is painted with Patagonia by Comex and the Eames chair and ottoman are by Herman Miller.
Popular and fun, wall decals let you inject personality into your bedroom. You can choose from hundreds of designs, including symbols, patterns, and quotes, or you can have a custom decal made. They stick to the wall, which makes them an easy DIY project. Choose lots of small shapes to hang top-to-bottom on a wall, creating an all-over design. Or, pick one large decal to create impact behind the bed or around a window.
There's a certain ethereal feel to attics because of the unique architectural lines. If you have an a-frame or sloped ceiling, embrace that dreamy vibe with romantic materials and light colors. The way the light pours into this room is just divine—we'd never want to leave this little cocoon. Decorate with loose linens, a netted pendant light, and a vintage area rug for a pop of color.
