From an eye-catching collection of paintings to an 18th-century Italian mirror, thoughtful accessories steal the show in this Greenwich Village bedroom. The bed, featuring antique French linens, is upholstered in a neutral striped fabric by Robert Kime. The side table is 18th-century English, the lantern is 19th-century Indian, and the walls are in Farrow & Ball’s Off-White.
Bold black walls lend swagger to this sanctum by Griffin Carrick Design located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The room is a stunning mash-up of rustic, glam and midcentury modern styles. Soft accents including the light and airy curtains and luxurious sheepskin rugs offset the rustic wood headboard. Sprigs of eucalyptus and matching marble lamps flank the bed. The abstract wall on the right is a playful counterpoint to the rest of the furnishings.
We love how this bedroom designed by Regan Baker boasts a bohemian feel despite the statement piece: That large-scale photograph of a traditional yellow bedroom. For a similar look, opt for a high-impact photograph of an interior that both reflects and juxtaposes your own space. And in true bohemian fashion, simply lean it against the wall instead of hanging it.

It should be noted that the decal is several hundred pieces, but it comes with a template to and numbered pieces to show you where to pace them. I did however go a little rogue and made my own design after I made the initial tree. The decal is made to create more of a square look ... full review
Instead of sticking with plain white walls, considering another neutral that adds a subtle yet bold twist. "Responding to an unusual Y-shaped floor plan required a strategy to pull light from all directions to create a range of shifting light experiences: Moody and subtle to the south; bright and open to the east," explain the designers behind Arent & Pyke. For a moodier bedroom that isn't full-on dark, try a steel blue gray like this one. And then lighten things up with colorful linens and keep things streamlined with bright a white ceiling and modern bedside sconce.
